Job Summary:
Under supervision from the Athletics Supervisor, this position is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and delivering athletic and recreational programs for individuals of all ages and abilities. The role includes managing assigned facilities, ensuring safe and high-quality experiences, and supporting year-round programming. The position serves the residents of Greenville and neighboring communities and reports directly to the Athletics Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Recreation or a related field preferred.
Experience: One (1) year of experience in recreation, youth programs, customer service, or a related field.
Licenses/Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification (or the ability to obtain within six months of hire).

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Work requires frequent standing and walking, along with periods of sitting, bending, and kneeling during the shift. The position involves continuously lifting and carrying items up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Duties also require frequent forward flexion of the upper trunk at the waist, partial flexion at the knees, and rotation of the upper trunk to the right or left while sitting or standing. Reaching above, at, and below shoulder height is performed frequently, and the role requires coordination of eye, hand, and foot movements to safely operate vehicles or equipment.
