POSITION: Athletic Operations Coordinator (Part Time) REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and schedule events related to the middle and high school athletic program. Assist in managing game day operations and staff, along with the facilities calendar for practices and games as well as the hiring and supervision of Athletic temporary employees and game day staff. Prepare Athletic facilities for daily practice and game-day set-ups for middle and high school. Assist with coordinating and planning of regional, district and national tournaments hosted by MHSAA Support and assist with developing district policies as they pertain to the athletic program. Recruit, select, mentor, supervise and evaluate athletic personnel. Schedule facilities for practices and games and prioritize schedules for in -season athletic programs. Coordinate the collection of rosters for program information as needed. Serve as school liaison at away athletic contests as needed. Assist in the selection of coaches for high and middle school sports programs. Continuously evaluate effectiveness of athletic programs, appropriate rules, regulations and safety procedures and protocols governing the conduct of athletic activities. Work cooperatively with the Public Relations and Communications Specialist to promote the athletic program through the effective and appropriate use of social and other media sources. Foster and promote communication and mutual understanding between staff, parents and students. Execute district policies and administrative procedures. Serve as the district liaison with OAA Middle School Athletics attending monthly meetings etc. Communicate with both middle and high school Administration for all athletic game day planning and early releases. Schedule transportation for away competitions for both middle and high school. Work with the operations department to develop and maintain outstanding indoor and outdoor facilities.
