The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector (ATC) is recruiting for a Programmer Analyst I-Recurrent to design and develop and implement advanced software systems using the latest technology available.
The Programmer Analyst I will exhibit journey level programming skills; to provide production support analysis, design, and programming; to assume primary responsibility for the less complex new development projects; and to function in a support role on major new development project teams. Programmer Analyst Is are typically assigned to a team rather than to particular projects.
The resulting eligible list will be used to fill current and future vacancies within the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector (ATC) office only.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, candidates must undergo a background check, which includes fingerprinting and a medical exam.
Availability: Incumbents may occasionally work evening and weekend hours. Some overtime, on-call, or call back work may be required.

CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess two (2) years of work experience in a production environment (within the past five (5) years), performing analysis and programming for the purpose of developing business applications and/or experience with the following:
REQUIRED EDUCATION:Must possess thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework in in programming, computer science, or software engineering. (A copy of transcripts is required unless you have a bachelors degree in a qualifying field.)
SUBSTITUTION:One (1) additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for the education requirement.
SUBSTITUTION:A bachelors degree in programming, computer science, or software engineering may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
