    JOB DESCRIPTION

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ushering-

    • Welcome audience members to our venue upon entrance and assist them with finding their seat location
    • Scan or examine tickets to ensure they are correct for the specific performance
    • Assure that safety and security standards are met and assist as needed
    • Aid guests with disabilities or other special needs
    • Enforce house and performance rules throughout the show
    • Help resolve patron conflicts about seat location
    • Refer all escalated interactions to the House Manager
    • Follow all emergency procedures regarding venue evacuation
    • Maintain a professional appearance (in accordance with the Asteria ushers dress code) and a friendly demeanor
    • Light maintenance of venue
    • Other duties as assigned

    Box Office Attendant-

    • Assist customers with using ticketing software and ticket purchase through various methods; including cash, credit, and certificates.
    • Assist with will call and guest list management. Check identification, distribute tickets to the proper parties. Resolve issues as they arise and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
    • Answer telephone and email inquiries related to show CMUStages, the Asteria and ticket information. Provide guidance related to additional venue or event information, accessibility, ADA requests, etc.
    • Ensure continuance and implementation of best practices for data entry and record keeping.
    • Accurately reconcile sales, receipts and reports. Provide sales and ticketing information to the management teams.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Frequent bending and walking of the building
    • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Extensive time spent with moderate to loud noises.
    • Ability to maintain a flexible and diverse work schedule with a weekly schedule of 10-15 hours generally available. Primarily evening and weekend availability is a must.
    • Box Office Attendant must have experience cash handling and other payment methods such as credit cards
    • Box Office Attendant must be proficient in various tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Sheets
    • Previous experience working on a venue ticketing platform preferred
