Assurance Manager

We are partnered with a Top 10 Midwest CPA and business advisory firm experiencing steady growth and seeking an Assurance Manager to join their Cedar Rapids team. This firm offers a collaborative, people-first culture, strong leadership, and clear opportunities for advancement.
What You'll Do
- Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements for multiple clients
- Plan engagements, including staffing, timelines, and risk assessment
- Review workpapers and deliverables to ensure compliance with professional standards
- Oversee engagement workflow, budgets, and deadlines
- Serve as a primary client contact and build strong relationships
- Mentor and develop staff while leading engagement teams
- Identify opportunities for additional services and support business development
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA required
- 6–8+ years of public accounting assurance experience
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and auditing standards
- Experience managing multiple engagements and leading teams
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft 365, Engagement/PFX, Suralink, or similar
