    Assistant Professor

    Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

    University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine

    The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting full-time faculty members at the Assistant Professor level in the appointment (non-tenure) stream. The qualified applicant will be actively involved in patient care; medical student, resident, and fellow teaching; and orthopaedic research as determined by the Chair and associated division chief.

    • Sports Medicine
    • Trauma

    Qualifications:

    • A medical degree from an accredited medical school;
    • Completion of an accredited orthopedic residency training program;
    • Completion of an accredited trauma fellowship program;
    • Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;
    • Board-eligible or Board-certification in orthopedic surgery.

    Qualified physician applicants must meet the minimum position credentials for the orthopaedic specialty to provide clinical service. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest and ability in clinical care and teaching, and possess strong clinical, interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills. A record of scholarly publications and presentations, along with evidence of interest in and involvement in research, is expected. Academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor (0-5 years of experience).
