Who We Are:

Our Occupational Health team is composed of dedicated nursing professionals who are passionate about employee health, workplace safety, and preventive care. The nursing team works in a fast-paced environment, providing clinical services, emergency response, wellness support, and occupational health program administration. The team is committed to maintaining high standards of patient care, confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Provide high-quality occupational health nursing services to promote employee health, safety, and overall well-being.
  • Assess, treat, and manage workplace injuries and illnesses in a timely and professional manner to support safe recovery and return-to-work efforts.
  • Respond effectively to workplace emergencies and coordinate appropriate medical care and transportation services as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, client requirements, and occupational health standards through effective administration of medical surveillance and health programs.
  • Administer occupational health programs, including medical surveillance, drug and alcohol screening, immunizations, and wellness initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant medical documentation and employee health records.
  • Promote a drug-free, safe, and healthy work environment through employee education, screening programs, and health promotion activities.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Administer first aid and provide nursing care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, including episodic care and emergency response services.
  • Administer occupational health programs and regulatory compliance services, including laboratory testing, immunizations, and other surveillance activities.
  • Provide non-emergency employee health services, including blood pressure monitoring, wellness support, and travel-related medical needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Respond promptly to workplace emergencies and coordinate the transportation of patients to local medical facilities as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Perform initial employee in-processing, medical intake, and basic screenings for patients scheduled to see the on-site physician.
  • Assist the physician with examinations, treatments, follow-up care, and referrals as directed.

Requirements:

  • Requires an Associates or a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Those with an Associates degree in Nursing require 5 years of related experience.
  • 3+ years: Experience in occupational health, industrial nursing, emergency care, or urgent care. Familiarity with occupational health software and emergency response equipment is highly desirable.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Experience with EMR, vision, and EKG equipment, ELIA testing, drug and alcohol testing procedures, and standard Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
  • A valid/clear drivers license is required.
