    Biweekly Hours: 80.00

    Shift: 8AM-5PM

    Summary:


    Assists the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and entire attorney team in all legal matters. Under supervision of CLO and Deputy General Counsels, provides advice to internal clients on healthcare facilities, construction, real estate, and healthcare regulatory matters, including federal, state and local laws and regulations. Directly represents, works with, and manages outside counsel on certain matters. Ensures cost efficient and timely delivery of legal services. Serves as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive, values-based principles. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Graduate of an ABA accredited law school.
    • Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
    • Five years of legal experience in healthcare.
    • Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, research and problem-solving skills, and change management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and personal diplomacy skills.
    • High level of motivation, team orientation, professionalism, and trustworthiness, and a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
    • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary, complex projects


    Preferred:

    • Knowledge and experience in healthcare facilities and real estate issues.

    Physical Demands:

    • May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
    • May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
    • Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
    • Ability to read job related documents.
    • Ability to use computer.
