Associate Veterinarian, Exotics Mentorship, New Grads Welcome

A well-established small animal and exotics practice in the Kansas City metro (south side) is hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian.

The caseload is roughly 80% dogs and cats and 20% exotics: rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals. You will be mentored by a board-certified exotic companion mammal specialist with more than 30 years of experience, so this is a rare chance to build an exotics-focused career.

Key Highlights:

• Four-day work week with rotating Saturdays (half days), no on-call
• Closed Sundays and major holidays
• Mentorship from a board-certified exotics specialist
• 8 exam rooms with separate feline, euthanasia, and quarantine spaces
• Digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house lab, AI notetaking software
• Integrative options including acupuncture
• Path to partnership

About You:

• DVM or VMD from an accredited school
• Missouri veterinary license and DEA, or eligible
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Genuine interest in exotics (experience welcome, not required)
