Associate Equine Veterinarian
Brandon Equine Medical Center | Brandon, Florida
Located in the heart of Brandon, Florida, just outside Tampa, Brandon Equine Medical Center has been serving the equine community since 1995. We are a full-service equine veterinary practice providing comprehensive medical, surgical, emergency, and sports medicine care to a diverse and high-level clientele throughout Central and Southwest Florida.
Our patients include Western performance horses, Hunter/Jumpers, and Dressage athletes, as well as horses requiring advanced medical and surgical care. Our team includes experienced equine veterinarians, board-certified specialists, and a highly skilled support staff who take pride in working together in a collaborative, positive, and team-oriented environment.
We are currently looking for an Associate Equine Veterinarian to join our growing practice. We are particularly excited to connect with veterinarians with an interest or experience in sports medicine and lameness, but we welcome candidates with a broad interest in equine practice as well.
The Position
This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to work with a varied and interesting caseload alongside experienced clinicians, including boarded surgeons and a boarded internist.
The ideal candidate is comfortable evaluating and managing equine emergencies, caring for hospitalized patients, and providing inpatient care. Our associates participate in an on-call emergency rotation, so confidence with emergency cases and the ability to provide thoughtful, high-quality care to patients throughout their hospitalization are important parts of the position.
You'll have the support of an experienced veterinary and technical team, with opportunities to collaborate on challenging cases and continue developing your clinical skills. We believe in creating an environment where veterinarians can learn from one another while also having the autonomy to grow in the areas of equine medicine that interest them most.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced equine veterinarian looking for a full-time opportunity, although we will entertain part-time arrangements as well.
Whether your passion is lameness and sports medicine, general equine practice, medicine, or surgery, Brandon Equine offers the caseload, equipment, and team environment to help you build a rewarding career in equine veterinary medicine.
If you're an equine veterinarian who values excellent patient care, collaboration, professional growth, and a supportive team, and you're comfortable being part of an emergency and inpatient care team, we'd love to hear from you.
