Associate Veterinarian, AAHA Small Animal Practice

A long-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Chicago's western suburbs is adding a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to its five-doctor team.

The current doctors bring decades of combined experience, and mentorship is built into the day through daily rounds, case-based learning, and regular team meetings. New graduates are welcome. The hospital also runs a separate feline-only clinic with its own exam rooms, wards, treatment area, and surgical suite.

• AAHA-accredited, five-doctor practice
• Eight updated exam rooms and a fully equipped surgical suite with surgical laser
• Digital radiography, ultrasound (including a wireless probe), and an in-house IDEXX lab
• Paperless records with AI-assisted SOAP notes
• Excellent tech-to-doctor ratio
• No on-call or late nights required; closed Sundays and major holidays
• Mentorship and daily rounds; new grads welcome

Hours: Mon and Fri 8am to 6pm, Tue to Thu 8am to 8pm, Sat 8am to 12pm. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules are available.

About You:

• DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
• Valid Illinois veterinary license, or eligible
• Collaborative and interested in growing with a mentoring team

Benefits:

• ProSal base of $120,000 to $130,000, with total earning potential of $125,000 to $175,000 and no negative accrual
