Responsible for performingthe set-up, optical alignment, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting ofoptical systems, circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. Our client, a worldleader in semiconductors, is looking for an Associate Test Engineer I -Optical/Mechanical/Opto-Mechanical based in Milpitas, CA.

Job Duration: LongTerm Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate : $34/hr on W2

Overtime: Hours working5-10 hour days plus weekend.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performingthe set-up, optical alignment, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting ofoptical systems, circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Tests and troubleshootsassemblies and/or final systems.
• Tests and troubleshootsassemblies and/or final systems.
• May complete rework on assembliesand/or systems because of testing.
• May assist in theselection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
• Prepares technicalreports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.

Qualifications:

• High School, ASEET,BSEET or BSEE and a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience is required.
• Works on assignmentsthat are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degreeof initiative are required in resolving problems and developingrecommendations. 
• Assembly experience
• Experience working withhand tools is highly preferred
