Description
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an advantage (not required)
Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly, testing and troubleshooting. Hands-on with screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and similar hand tools.
Must be comfortable working in a full gown in a Class 100 Cleanroom. Ability to climb a ladder and lift 30-50 pounds independently.
Previous experience with assembly of XY stages, robotics, systems cabling is an advantage
Experience calibrating and troubleshooting stages, motors, swapping out failed boards, etc.
Ability to use mechanical hand tool such as torque wrenches and calipers
Responsibilities:
Perform set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems and components
Systems level cabling of capital equipment, including stages, robotics, optomechanical assemblies
Must have a strong willingness to learn and ability to think outside the box for complex technical problems
Determine and may develop methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams
Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems, and complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
