    Description

    A leading institutional investor is seeking an Associate to join its Tax-Driven Investments team. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating, structuring, and executing investments across renewable energy, affordable housing, and other tax-advantaged investment strategies. Working closely with senior investment professionals, the Associate will lead financial analysis, due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio monitoring efforts.

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and execute investments across renewable energy, affordable housing, and other tax-advantaged investment strategies
    • Perform financial analysis, underwriting, due diligence, and risk assessment to support investment decisions
    • Structure, negotiate, and manage transactions from initial review through closing
    • Monitor and manage portfolio investments, working closely with sponsors, developers, and external partners
    • Build and maintain relationships with market participants to support sourcing efforts and stay informed on industry trends
    • Partner with internal teams across tax, legal, accounting, treasury, and investments to drive successful transaction execution
    • Prepare investment recommendations and materials for senior stakeholders and investment committees
    • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance investment culture through knowledge sharing and cross-functional teamwork

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
    • 4-7 years of experience in tax equity, renewable energy investing, project finance, LIHTC investing, or a related investment role
    • Demonstrated transaction execution experience, including deal structuring, underwriting, due diligence, and closing
    • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and investment evaluation skills
    • Knowledge of renewable energy tax credit structures and tax-advantaged investment strategies preferred
    • Experience managing complex transactions and coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate investment recommendations to senior decision-makers
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced investment environment
