    Mechanical Engineer -- Need local to Phoenix AZ Only

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    • These are onsite positions for motivated, hands-on engineers who have knowledge of and/or experience with electro-mechanical devices.
    • These entry-level positions are focused on lab work, including running protocols, conducting tests, and collecting data for assessment on new development functional models.
    • Ideal candidates should be energetic, inquisitive, capable of following written instructions, and possess relevant internship experience in the medical segment.

    SUMMARY

    • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices, and implementation in complex systems and assignments.
    • General responsibilities include design concept generation, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specifications, reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions.
    • Makes independent decisions and assists in the development of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root causes and possible engineering solutions.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS

    • Learns to use company concepts, policies, and procedures; becomes familiar with and follows standard practices.
    • Normally receives detailed directions on all work.
    • Works on projects of moderate scope in which analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
    • Makes suggestions to improve work processes.
    • Assists in reducing patentable inventions to practice.
    • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
    • Participates in technical team activities.
    • Presents and discusses data within the group.
    • Monitors work to ensure quality and continuously promotes Quality First Time.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Knowledge of basic and some specialized engineering techniques.
    • Familiarity with searching technical literature.
    • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, graphical, and presentation software applications.

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with 0-3 years of experience.
    • Ideal candidates will have a degree in Systems Engineering or a related field such as Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering.
