POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Associate Surgical Technician, your roles and responsibilities will include:

• Perform scrub technologist duties for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Support surgical teams throughout procedures while maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
• Provide surgical support for patients across all age groups, including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other members of the operating room team to support quality patient care.
• Follow established surgical, safety, infection prevention, and patient-care standards.
• Work full-time 12-hour day shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Associate Surgical Technician who enjoys their work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Associate Surgical Technician would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience working as a Surgical Scrub Technician in a surgical setting.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting is preferred.
• Associate s Degree.
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and operating room practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team.
