Program Summary

Job Summary

KBR is seeking a highly motivated Associate Specialist, Subcontracts to oversee and perform a full range of subcontract administration/management activities associated with subcontracting work. This includes qualifying suppliers, issuing requests for proposals, evaluating proposals, and maintaining subcontract files in accordance with established procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing subcontracting work as assigned on multiple projects and ensuring the seamless integration of subcontract work within the broader program including cost, schedule, technical, and quality management.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the lifecycle of procurement as related to subcontracting from pre-award to closeout

  • Issue requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and qualify suppliers

  • Maintain accurate subcontract files in compliance with established procedures

  • Process subcontract changes and closeouts in a timely and accurate manner

  • Display expertise within the subcontracting focus and seek continuous improvement within both processes and individual skills

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 2+ years of experience in subcontract administration or related procurement activities

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, proposal evaluation, and subcontract management

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Government Contractor / Government Solutions experience highly desirable

  • Previous experience working with government contracts and understanding of compliance requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with subcontractor claims resolution

  • Experience using procurement software or contract management systems
