Associate Solar Sales Consultant (Virginia)

Paradise Energy Solutions is seeking a motivated, relationship-focused Associate Solar Sales Consultant to help businesses, farms, and homeowners throughout the Mid Atlantic region discover the benefits of solar energy. This role is built for someone earlier in their sales career and ready to learn the trade and grow into a full territory. You will start with structured training provided by our sales leaders, mentorship from an experienced team member, and support from company-generated sales leads. As you build confidence and product knowledge, you will take on more responsibility for developing your own sales pipeline through networking, prospecting, referrals, and community involvement.

This is not an order-taking sales role. We will teach you solar. We will teach you our proven sales process. What we cannot teach is drive, integrity, and a genuine interest in people and helping them become good stewards of God's abundant resources.

What You Will Do

• Represent Paradise Energy Solutions with professionalism, integrity, and excellence
• Complete a structured onboarding program covering solar fundamentals, financial analysis, incentives, and our sales process
• Work alongside an experienced consultant through ridealongs and joint customer visits during your ramp-up period
• Follow up on company generated leads from marketing campaigns, referrals, and other sources
• Build and maintain relationships with business owners, farmers, homeowners, and community leaders throughout your sales territory
• Grow toward generating a meaningful share of your own leads through networking, referrals, prospecting, and community engagement
• Conduct onsite consultations to understand customer goals and energy needs
• Educate prospective customers about solar energy, financial returns, available incentives, and long term value
• Collaborate with our estimating team to develop accurate and compelling proposals
• Guide customers through the sales process from initial conversation to a signed contract
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently work toward territory sales goals
• Consistently close deals

What We are Looking For

Coachability and Work Ethic

You receive and respond to feedback well, apply it quickly, and put in the hours that are required to succeed in solar sales. You are willing to be taught a process and follow it before you start adjusting it to improve upon it. This is the single most important quality for this role.

Some Sales or Customer Facing Experience

You have worked in a role where you were responsible for results with customers. Outside sales, inside sales, retail, service, banking, insurance, agricultural sales, construction, or equipment sales all count. A track record in a commission-based environment is a plus but is not required.

Community Connections

You know people in the area you will serve, or you are eager to get to know them. Whether through professional networks, community organizations, church, referrals, or local events, you are comfortable meeting new people and earning trust.

Self Motivation

You do not need constant oversight to stay productive. You are self-motivated, manage your own calendar, follow up without being reminded, and understand that your results follow the effort you invest.

Consultative Approach

You listen generously, ask thoughtful questions, and help customers make informed decisions. Rather than relying on high pressure sales tactics, you focus on understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that provide a return on their investment and long term value.

Solar Experience Not Required

We do not expect you to know solar. We expect you to learn it. We are willing to invest in the right person who brings strong communication skills, relationship-building ability, and a desire to continue to learn and grow.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

• Complete onboarding and demonstrate command of our products, incentives, and proposal process
• Manage consultations independently after the ramp period
• Build a consistent pipeline with active follow up
• Begin generating your own leads and sales opportunities alongside company-provided leads
• Meet the sales targets established for your territory and experience level
