Associate Project Manager – Technology Risk & Controls
Location: Boston, Quincy, or Burlington, MA
Work Schedule: Hybrid, 4 Days Onsite
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Interview Process: 3 rounds of interviews (In-person interview as final round)

Position Overview
Client is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support the Technology Risk & Controls organization. This role is focused on coordinating, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on technology risk remediation activities across multiple business and technology teams.
This is not a traditional project management role. The successful candidate will help organize and track remediation efforts related to technology risks, cybersecurity findings, audit issues, control gaps, and regulatory requirements while ensuring stakeholders remain aligned and accountable.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, advanced Excel capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Risk & Remediation Tracking
  • Track technology risk remediation activities through closure.
  • Maintain action logs, status reports, remediation trackers, and governance documentation.
  • Coordinate updates from multiple technology and business teams.
  • Ensure remediation plans are updated and progressing according to target dates.
  • Escalate delays, blockers, and aging items appropriately.
Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze data received from multiple teams and sources.
  • Organize and consolidate large datasets into meaningful reports.
  • Create and maintain remediation tracking spreadsheets.
  • Perform trend analysis and identify risk patterns.
  • Support reporting for senior management and leadership teams.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as liaison between technology teams, risk teams, compliance teams, and leadership.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings.
  • Follow up on action items and remediation commitments.
  • Prepare status updates and executive communications.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels from developers through senior management.
Governance Support
  • Assist in maintaining governance processes around technology risk management.
  • Document decisions, actions, milestones, and remediation activities.
  • Support audit and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Help ensure timely closure of risk and control issues.

Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of Project Management, PMO, Risk, Compliance, Governance, or Business Analysis experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within a structured corporate environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
