About the Job

The University of Minnesota Law School is accepting applications for one to two tenure-track or tenured faculty positions to begin in the 2027-28 academic year. Applicants should hold a J.D. or degree of equivalent rank and should demonstrate outstanding accomplishment and/or potential in scholarship and teaching. We encourage applicants who work in any area of law, as we have a range of curricular needs. Rank upon hire and salary will depend on qualifications. The salary range for this job is:

• entry level - $155,000 - $170,000
• junior laterals typically range from $170,000 - $200,000, and
• very senior laterals up to $280,000 annually.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $155,000 - $280,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment

time, the initial pay may not reach the maximum of the range. This approach ensures

that compensation reflects the value and unique contributions of each candidate while
