Description

Work Mode: Remote
Duration: 9-12 months, with possible extension

Responsibilities:

  • Research and map current-state and future-state business processes and system workflows.
  • Analyze existing processes to identify pain points, gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather and clarify business, customer, and system requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, research, UX/design, and delivery teams to define effective solutions.
  • Support product discovery, prioritization, backlog refinement, planning, and delivery activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product features based on customer and business value.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and test scenarios to validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Document testing results, defects, issues, risks, decisions, and dependencies.
  • Support resolution of roadblocks and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and other team meetings.
  • Communicate product requirements, priorities, delivery expectations, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Gather feedback from end users and stakeholders and incorporate findings into product improvements.
  • Work with Product Owners and Agile teams to support delivery of new product capabilities.
  • Ensure product requirements align with customer needs, business objectives, regulatory requirements, and insurance industry practices.
  • Help maintain product backlog and ensure stories are clear, actionable, and appropriately prioritized.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with Agile teams in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong experience in the insurance industry, preferably Personal Lines Insurance.
  • Experience with policy servicing, policy changes, endorsements, or insurance professional experiences strongly preferred.
  • Strong requirements-gathering and business analysis experience.
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
  • Strong process/workflow mapping experience.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders, technology teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience with UAT, test scenarios, requirements validation, and defect identification.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Personal Lines Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance.
  • Experience with policy administration or policy servicing systems.
  • Experience with insurance endorsements and policy transactions.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing insurance applications.
  • Experience working with UX/design and research teams.
  • Experience managing or contributing to an Agile product backlog.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements.
