    Description

    ASSOCIATE PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER (Permanent)
    Our client, a global manufacturing organization with headquarters in WNY, is looking to add an Associate Product Design Engineer to their growing team.


    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the design and development of complex engineering products/components for aerospace, energy, defense, medical, and industrial industries
    • Produce detailed engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) through collaboration with CAD Designers
    • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gain a firm understanding of production capabilities, assembly processes, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) requirements
    • Create product specifications that align with customer needs/project goals
    • Ensure all components meet form, fit, function, performance, and manufacturability requirements
    • Sit in on customer meetings to ensure new product conditions are accurately defined and detailed
    • Research, analyze, develop prototypes, and test/validate new product concepts and design improvements
    • Ensure all engineering documentation is properly recorded throughout all phases of the product development lifecycle
    • Utilize engineering principles, analysis, and material selection to drive and support decisions while designing each product
    • Collaborate with various internal team members (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales) teams to ensure successful project completion
    • Work well both independently and in a team environment
    • Other duties as assigned/as necessary


    Details:

    • Position is full-time, direct hire
    • 100% in-office
    • $60,000 - $75,000 annually depending on experience
    • Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering
    • 1+ year experience using 2D and 3D CAD software via internships, coursework, and/or professional experience
    • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, material selection & mechanics of materials
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong organization skills and time management skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Self-motivated
    • Relocation not available 
    • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
