Job Description:
The Associate Manager, HCP & Patient Engagement is a key member of the Marketing team responsible for leading the planning, execution, and optimization of Healthcare Professional (HCP) and Patient Engagement initiatives that support Xeris' commercial objectives. This role partners closely with Brand Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Commercial Operations, and external agencies to deliver high-impact engagement programs including speaker programs, advisory boards, conferences, product theaters, patient engagement initiatives, and educational events.The Associate Manager owns assigned engagement workstreams from strategy through execution, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations. This individual identifies opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, improve participant experiences, and optimize program performance through data-driven insights and continuous process improvement.
Success in this role requires exceptional project management, strong cross-functional collaboration, sound business judgment, and the ability to independently manage multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
EssentialJobFunctions
Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of HCP and Patient Engagement initiatives across commercial brands.
Independently manage multiple engagement programs simultaneously, including speaker programs, advisory boards, conferences, product theaters, patient videos, webinars, photo shoots, and educational events.
Serve as the primary marketing lead for assigned engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and commercial objectives.
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and communication plans while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Manage agency partners and external vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables, adherence to timelines, budget accountability, and overall program excellence.
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Commercial Operations, and Events to drive successful execution.
Lead operational planning and logistics for national meetings, speakertrainings, conferences, advisory boards, and other engagement activities.
Monitor program performance using defined KPIs and develop recommendations to improve efficiency, customer experience, and business impact.
Analyze engagement data and provide actionable insights and post-program recommendations to marketing leadership.
Support development and execution of engagement strategies that strengthen relationships with HCPs, patient advocates, and key external stakeholders.
Drive the development, review, and approval of promotional and educational materials through Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance review processes.
Ensure all engagement activities comply with applicable healthcare regulations, company policies, industry codes, and promotional guidelines.
Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, workflows, templates, and operational efficiencies across the HCP & Patient Engagement function.
Provide guidance and day-to-day direction tocolleagues, agencies, and cross-functional partners to ensure successful program execution.
Manage assigned budgets, monitor expenditures, reconcile invoices, and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
Support annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities for HCP and Patient Engagement programs.
Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives that enhance the overall Professional Engagement & Advocacy function.
SkillsandQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other relevant field of study – advanced degree (MBA) a plus.
A minimum of four years of marketing, sales or combined experience, with at least two in the pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a great deal of autonomy.
Demonstrated experience managing workflow through medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance review processes.
Hands-on experience working with Veeva PromoMats, or similar review systems.
Working knowledge of FDA regulations, ODPD guidelines and pharmaceutical marketing compliance. Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal key stakeholders and external partners to deliver projects on time and in budget.
Strong project management skills and highly detail oriented.
Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Hubspot and Veeva.
A general knowledge of the budgetmanagement processes.
Experience managing multiple vendorsonmatters that range from contract term adherence to invoicing management preferred.
Ability to plan and organize work and self to achieve objectives and targets, holding self-accountable for the delivery of outcomes that meet and exceed expectations.

WorkingConditions
Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Periodic overnight travel – approximately 25% anticipated.
This is a hybrid role based in Xeris’ Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at management’s discretion.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $78,000 - $104,000

The level of the position will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. Final determination of the actual base salary offered depends on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, experience, education, location, and business needs. Employees are eligible for equity or long-term incentive awards, where applicable. Field Sales role employees are eligible for a quarterly commission structure. Non-Sales role employees are eligible for an annual bonus.
