    Associate Litigation Attorney – The Law Office of Rebecca McNerney – Waxhaw, NC

    Our small boutique law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney who is looking for a more balanced, flexible, and supportive work environment while continuing to practice meaningful legal work.

    About the Firm

    We are a boutique litigation practice located in downtown Waxhaw, NC that values professionalism, collaboration, and practical results for our clients. We prioritize a respectful and low-drama work environment where attorneys can thrive personally and professionally. The firm focuses primarily on estate litigation and fiduciary litigation in SC and NC.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and support a variety of legal matters from inception through resolution
    • Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and legal memoranda
    • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
    • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, trials, and client meetings as needed
    • Work independently while collaborating with the firm when appropriate

    Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
    • Licensed and in good standing in NC or SC (both preferred)
    • Prior litigation experience preferred
    • Strong writing, organizational, legal research, and communication skills
    • Ability to manage cases with professionalism, attention to detail, and efficiency
