Associate Librarian - IN-HOUSE ONLY

Responsibilities:Associate Librarians will:Provide reference and reader's advisor services, and instruct patrons in the use of library resources, including databases, reference materials, catalogs, computers, makerspace equipment, and the interlibrary loan system;Participate in material circulation procedures;Promote library use;Act as "librarian in charge" when administration is not available;Resolve day-to-day operational problems/issues involving staff and/or patrons and provide technical advice to Library staff;Manage a budget and make fiscally responsible purchasing choices in line with Logan City guidelines;Perform other duties as assigned. Associate Librarians may:Participate in creating, organizing, and/or delivering public programming related to the relevant collection and/or personal interest;Supervises the activities in technical services;Catalog items as needed;Manage Interlibrary Loan and homebound services;Manage the makerspace, including staff and patron training, troubleshoot problems, and arrange repairs or replacements as needed;Lead or support monetary internal control procedures;Manage patron accounts;Act as library board secretary;Participate in materials processing and/or repair.
