Our Legal Team seeks to hire an employment and litigation attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its team of dynamic attorneys. This role will work alongside the Sr. Employment Counsel and Senior Counsel, Disputes & Litigation and will require the ability to advise on a broad spectrum of employment issues, draft various employment-related agreements, defend the organization in EEOC charges, analyze pre-litigation disputes, and assist with managing litigation with outside counsel. This attorney must be a team player and willing to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration. The new hire will be part of a successful legal team, reporting to Senior Counsel, Disputes & Litigation, and will use their legal skills to contribute to the operations of the business.

 

This position requires working on site in our Somerset, NJ location on Tuesday and Thursday.

  • Health care industry background is preferred; and
  • Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
  • A law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and membership in the PA, NJ or NY bar.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Must have high energy, be engaged, and have demonstrated a hands-on, proactive and innovative approach in counseling and litigation practice.
  • A keen ability to provide practical advice by weighing legal risk against business needs and realities.
  • Must be comfortable and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be hardworking, team-oriented and possess the ability to think creatively and efficiently in resolving business issues.
  • Must make decisions based on sound judgment and display the highest level of ethical conduct and integrity;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders;
  • Advanced proficiency in legal research and utilizing legal technology tools;
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proactive approach to multitasking and prioritizing; and
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to team efforts and initiatives.

      The pay range for this position is expected to be between $104,000 and $116,000 annual; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
