    About this role

We are looking for an Associate Immigration Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join as the first attorney hire at a YC-backed startup that's rethinking how immigration law is delivered. You'll own cases end-to-end, run client consultations, and help build the practice alongside a 40-year veteran immigration attorney - all while working with AI-powered tools that are transforming the field.

    What will you be doing?

    • Managing your own caseload of O-1A, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and H-1B petitions from intake through filing

    • Running free attorney consultation calls with prospective clients (mostly startup founders and technical talent) to assess visa strategy and fit

    • Drafting, reviewing, and submitting petitions - handling the full lifecycle rather than just the final review

    • Learning the "LegalOS way" of creative case-building directly from the Head of Immigration Law, Joseph Asir, and helping codify it into repeatable playbooks

    • Providing product feedback to the engineering team to shape AI-assisted drafting and review workflows

    Key Requirements

    • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in any U.S. state (New York bar is a plus)

    • 1–3 years of business immigration experience, ideally at a large immigration firm like Fragomen, BAL, or a comparable practice

    • Moldable and not set in their ways — open to learning a creative, client-first approach to case-building rather than defaulting to big-firm playbooks

    • High agency, entrepreneurial mindset — excited to build at an early-stage startup, not just fill an associate seat

    • Available to work in-person 5 days a week at the FiDi, San Francisco office
