The Role

We’re hiring junior engineers to help scale data ingestion and customer data workflows.

You’ll work alongside core FDEs to prepare and transfer data, troubleshoot issues, build scripts and automations, and keep customers informed. You’ll start with clearly scoped responsibilities and receive guidance as you take on more technical ownership.

The initial work will combine hands-on engineering with operational execution, with the opportunity to grow into a full FDE role over time.

What You’ll Do

1. Help customers bring their data into the platform, from initial preparation through successful transfer and validation.
2. Build and improve scripts, integrations, and automations that make data ingestion faster and more reliable.
3. Investigate and resolve technical issues across APIs, data formats, and transfer workflows, with support from core FDEs.
4. Monitor active workflows, identify gaps, and verify that customer data arrives complete and accurate.
5. Work directly with customers and internal teams to communicate progress and move past blockers.
6. Turn recurring issues into better tooling, documentation, and reusable workflows.
7. Take on increasingly complex technical work as your experience and ownership grow.

What We’re Looking For

1. Foundational programming skills, including the ability to write and debug basic scripts in Python or a similar language.
2. Familiarity with APIs and comfort using command-line tools and Git.
3. A methodical approach to troubleshooting and willingness to ask for help when needed.
4. Strong ownership, reliability, and attention to detail.
5. Clear written communication with customers and internal teams.
6. Ability to follow runbooks, recognize their limitations, and suggest improvements.
7. Sound judgment around sensitive data and production systems.
8. Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to take on increasing engineering responsibility.

Nice to Have

1. Experience with SQL, data pipelines, or large datasets.
2. Familiarity with cloud storage and data-transfer workflows.
3. Experience working in Linux environments.
4. Familiarity with formats such as JSON, CSV, or Parquet.
5. Experience using AI coding tools to build and debug, with careful review of their output.
6. Experience in a startup or customer-facing technical role.
