Associate Financial Advisor (AFA)

Location: Issaquah, WA | Full-Time

Are you a client-focused professional with experience in financial services who’s ready to step into a client facing role with a clear path toward managing client relationships and future partnership within a successful private wealth practice?

Steller Wealth Planning, a Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial, is seeking an experienced Associate Financial Advisor (AFA) to join our collaborative, relationship-driven team.

This role is intentionally designed for an advisor who wants to grow into leading client relationships, contributing to revenue growth, and developing into a long-term leader and potential equity owner within the practice — not a service-only position. Over time, the AFA will assume increasing responsibility for existing clients while helping expand the firm through new relationship development.

About the Practice

We serve a loyal client base with a strong emphasis on comprehensive financial planning, coaching, and long-term relationships — not transactional sales. Our culture is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and client-first. We focus on continuity, trust, and developing advisors who want to build a lasting career within one practice.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Development & Ownership

  • Partner with senior advisors in client meetings and progressively take the lead on client relationships
  • Build long-term relationships through proactive communication and personalized planning support

Financial Planning & Implementation

  • Translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance for clients

Meeting Preparation & Follow-Up

  • Coordinate materials, action items, and execution to ensure exceptional client experience

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with advisors and staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service

How to Apply

If you are an experienced, licensed financial professional looking to build a long-term career within a high-quality advisory practice, please submit your resume and cover letter outlining your experience and interest.

Equal Opportunity Employer
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

A background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process, and successful completion is required for employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
