    Associate, Earned Media, Consumer Brand Practice
    Weber Shandwick is seeking an Associate, Earned Media to join our Integrated Media team in the Central Region.

     As an Associate, you will support campaign development and execution for integrated campaigns, events and partnerships, driving awareness, reach and engagement for multiple clients. The ideal candidate brings consumer brand experience and is deeply immersed in consumer culture. Experience may span categories such as food and beverage, grocery, retail, sustainability and other consumer-focused sectors. They also bring a strong point of view on what’s trending across media, social platforms, and the broader cultural landscape.

    Job description:
    Serves as a key integrated team member in support of national and global campaigns, including developing and maintaining action plans, goals and objectives, media materials and campaign strategies in collaboration with and support from senior team members
    Generates ideas and drafts materials (e.g., announcements, written content, press Q&A, proposals and reports), across a range of consumer and corporate programs
    Research media topics, cultural trends, important issues, and the media landscape in support of new assignments and projects
    Attends client events and manages on-site media and influencers at local and national events
    Maintains a keen interest in current news and cultural trends; proactively shares insights with teams and clients to inform plans, strategies and activations
    Anticipates and proactively offers solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programs
    Actively engages in daily client communication and manages detailed tasks with the account and client teams
    Develops and manages project timelines, call agendas and recaps as well as integrated weekly action plans to ensure all deadlines on client programs are met
    Is highly collaborative and thrives in an environment where they work with a range of more junior and senior team members

    Requirements:
    1+ years of public relations experience at an agency or in-house; consumer experience strongly preferred
    Experience and interest in working with consumer and lifestyle clients
    Excellent communication/presentation skills; verbal and written
    Strong attention to detail and project management skills
    Ability to multi-task effectively and work within tight deadlines
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
