Role Summary Â

 Â

The Associate Director, U.S. VOXZOGO Marketing will play a key leadership role on the team and will help drive brand strategy and market execution. The brand is at a critical stage in its lifecycle, with competition entering the market as well as near-term potential for a new indication.Â

This role requires strong leadership across internal teamsâ€"including Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Corporate Communicationsâ€"as well as external stakeholders such healthcare professionals and agency partners.Â

The ideal candidate will bring relevant experience in biotech/pharma marketing across multiple disease states, a strong track record of driving value in competitive markets, and a passion for improving patient outcomes in rare disease. This role will engage across senior leadership and with key decision-makers, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of VOXZOGO and the lives of children with rare genetic conditions. Â

Key responsibilities:Â

  • Drive franchise value in a competitive market with new entrants;Â key driver of U.S. strategy and a core contributor to Global strategic directionÂ
  • Analyze the market environment to support readiness for an upcoming competitor launch. Integrate competitive intelligence into marketing and cross-functional strategies Â
  • Lead U.S. competitive-readiness efforts; collaborate with Global marketing while advocating for and representing the U.S. point of viewÂ
  • Own strategy and performance for a priority customer segment within the VOXZOGO U.S. business; define A-to-B shift, key messages, tactics, channels, and key metrics to measure campaign performanceÂ
  • Leverage BioMarinâ€s new digital capabilities to drive true omnichannel engagement with our customersÂ
  • Accountable for delivering measurable growth and/or retention in a competitive marketÂ
  • Lead cross-functional teams and agency partners to execute against brand strategyÂ
  • Manage and optimize significant marketing investmentsÂ
  • Collaborate with U.S. marketing team members on key activities such as insights-gathering activities, campaign and tactic development and field communicationÂ
  • Closely collaborate with key functional partners (e.g., sales, medical, access, corporate communications) to drive alignment on strategy and key messagesÂ
  • Regularly engage with key customers at medical congresses, ad boards, advocacy events and in other settings; may take on responsibilities for ad board planning, execution, and oversight of major congressesÂ
  • Work closely with the Business Insights & Analytics team to develop, track, and monitor KPIs to measure impact of competitor launchÂ
  • Drive core planning processes such as brand plan and tactical plan, alongside senior leadershipÂ
  • Manage budget and external partners effectively Â

 Minimum requirements Â

  • BA/BS in Business or Life Sciences (MBA preferred)Â Â
  • 8+ years of experience in pharma/biotech commercial roles and driving success in in competitive marketsÂ
  • Experience working with creative agencies, promotional review team (medical, regulatory, legal) and others to develop, deploy, measure and optimize marketing campaignsÂ
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills, comfortable with complexity and ambiguity Â
  • Strong communication skills, ability to tell a compelling story and interact with senior leaders Â
  • Success interacting at all levels of a matrixed organizationÂ
  • Strong sense of accountability and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environmentÂ
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, gain alignment and drive decision making Â
  • Self-starter who demonstrates energy and enthusiasm, bringing a positive solution-oriented approach to challenges Â
  • A passion for improving patient and business outcomes Â
  • Ability to travel up to 25%Â

  • Working knowledge and understanding of multiple major pharmaceutical marketsÂ
  • Working knowledge of market access and medical strategy Â
  • Management or strategy consulting experience preferred Â
  • Rare disease experience is a plusÂ
