    Description

    Financial Services Firm in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Product Manager to assist with the growth of their Prime Services platform!

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with the build of a Prime Services platform, a modern institutional trading, custody, clearing, financing, and technology platform designed for hedge funds, family offices, proprietary trading firms, asset managers, and other professional market participants.
    • Translate buyside client needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, process flows, commercial assumptions, and implementation plans for Engineering, Design, Trading, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Professional Services.
    • Build capabilities for low-latency execution, DMA access, smart order routing, advanced order types, FIX/API integrations, OMS/EMS connectivity, drop copies, institutional market data, and execution-only or custody-plus-execution models.
    • Own the product strategy and roadmap for Prime Services, including institutional onboarding, entity and fund account structures, master-sub accounts, trading workflows, account maintenance, reporting, billing, and service tools.
    • Define the core user experience for hedge funds, family offices, prop trading shops, asset managers, traders, operations users, and authorized principals across web, desktop, portal, file-based, FIX, and API workflows.
    • Partner with Risk, Trading, Operations, and Compliance to design workflows for market access controls, pre-trade risk checks, real-time margin, portfolio margin, trader limits, kill switches, short locate requirements, surveillance, and exception management.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, or Consulting
    • 4+ years Experience building or managing product capabilities within institutional brokerage, prime brokerage, custody, clearing, trading technology, hedge fund services, fintech, or capital markets infrastructure.
    • Strong understanding of buyside workflows, including institutional onboarding, account structures, trading, order routing, allocations, margin, risk, settlement, stock borrow, reporting, billing, and operational support.
    • Direct experience with hedge fund, family office, proprietary trading, asset manager, prime brokerage, institutional execution, DVP/RVP, or clearing platform workflows.
    • Familiarity with institutional platforms and providers such as Interactive Brokers, Clear Street, Client, Brokerage, Pershing, DASH, FlexTrade, Bloomberg EMSX, or similar OMS/EMS, prime brokerage, and clearing ecosystems.
    • Ability to convert complex business, operational, regulatory, trading, and technical requirements into clear product requirements and execution plans.
    • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Trading, Sales, and client-facing teams.
    • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, or similar product/project management tools.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment across senior stakeholders, technical teams, and sophisticated institutional clients.
    • Knowledge of FIX, REST APIs, WebSocket feeds, OMS/EMS integrations, drop copy, average pricing, trade allocations, portfolio margin, Reg T, securities lending, hard-to-borrow locates, and real-time risk dashboards.
    • Understanding of regulatory, supervisory, margin, market access, trade reporting, books and records, surveillance, and client communication requirements in an institutional broker-dealer or clearing environment.
