Position Overview

Rider University invites applications for the Associate Director of Transfer Enrollment. Reporting to the Director of Transfer Enrollment, the Associate Director provides support of transfer students and supports the transfer team and the university as a whole in achieving its goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages a transfer recruitment territory of approximately 10 schools in Northern, NJ, which includes meeting with counselors and students and provide accurate and detailed information of all aspects about Rider to external customers.
  • Makes data-driven decisions independently for assigned territory.
  • Supervises one full-time transfer counselor.
  • Assists with the management of transfer student workers - assists with hiring, training, event, and day-to-day scheduling for student workers.
  • Assists with the implementation and coordination of all transfer related on-campus events and serves as the co-advisor to an engaged and award-winning Transfer Student Association.
  • Assists with the development and execution of creating articulation agreements from community colleges to Rider to help improve student access and outcomes. This includes, but is not limited to, working with faculty from various colleges and departments, as well as working with the Director of Transfer Enrollment and University Marketing and Communications to determine how to best promote the partnerships.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree along with 3-5 years of experience at the two-year college in an advising or student services capacity or prior experience at the four-year level in working with transfers.
  • Excellent communication skills, detail oriented, and well-versed in the transfer student experience.
  • Previous experience working with transcripts & degree audits.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Valid drivers license in good standing and vehicle required or have reliable transportation to carry out travel requirements of the position.
  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Master's Degree
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Experience with Slate CRM or other college CRMs
