Associate Director of the Behavior Alliance of South Carolina

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Director of the Behavior Alliance of South Carolina (BASC) will support data systems development and implementation, lead development of new BASC content, and other duties as assigned. This position will require travel throughout the state of South Carolina.

 

 

JOB DUTIES:

20 - Collaboration
Associate director will collaborate with the OSES staff, other SC Teams staff, and BASC leadership to ensure efficient use of resources, effective support to districts and schools to meet the behavioral needs of all students, and continuous improvement. They will also collaborate with BASC staff to design and implement effective technical assistance across the state. 25 - Data Systems and Practices
Associate Director will be responsible for ensuring that all data related to the organization is properly collected, warehoused, analyzed, and visualized for real-time use and problem solving to support continuous improvement efforts internally and by district and school behavior support leadership teams. Associate Director will also oversee research activities. 25 - Content Development
Associate director will lead and oversee content development for professional learning ensuring it is aligned to relevant research and the BASC multi-tiered systems of support for behavior (MTSS-B) model, with an emphasis on individual, intensive behavior supports for students with disabilities. 15 - Content Delivery
Associate Director will deliver on-site and virtual professional development and provide coaching to (a) district partners, (b) school leadership teams, and (c) educators and administrators across South Carolina as necessary. 15 - Leadership
As assigned, provide direct supervision to Program Managers and Regional Behavior Coaches and provide management of assigned duties, including correspondence and timely reporting of data collected in order to describe how the activities in the scope of work are implemented.

The Associate Director of the Behavior Alliance of South Carolina (BASC) will support data systems development and implementation, lead development of new BASC content, and other duties as assigned. This position will require travel throughout the state of South Carolina.

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and relevant project management experience.

Preferred Requirements:

Terminal degree in education, psychology, or related fields (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.d.)

Preferred Experiences:

5 years+ experience one or more of the following areas: implementation science, supporting  students with intensive behavioral support needs, implementing MTSS/PBIS, technical assistance, learning science 

Preferred Licenses & Certifications:

BCBA or BCBA-D

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.

 

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Expected Salary Range

$57,000 - $90,000

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

 

 

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:

Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
