Associate Director, Firm Financial Systems

We are seeking an Associate Director to join our Finance Systems team to set strategy, lead end-to-end delivery of finance-led platform enhancements and integrations as well as develop a team of system delivery specialists. This role will work across Finance Process areas to resolve complex system enhancements and integrations to support scalable solutions across SAP S/4HANA and other related financial applications such as pricing and forecasting. You will serve as a senior business and process leader-translating finance strategy into prioritized epics/features, partnering with Information Technology Services (ITS) and product engineering teams to execute delivery, and ensuring releases are adoption-ready through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and communications. The Associate Director will also support the Stakeholder reach-out, finalize and sign-off on strategic global requirements, and advise Change Management on functionality changes, while leading and developing a global team of Finance Systems Application Delivery Managers.

Work You'll Do

As the Firm Enterprise Solutions Associate Director, Finance Systems on the Finance Systems team, you will be responsible for:

• Lead and develop a global team of Finance Systems Application Delivery Managers by setting priorities, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
• Direct finance application delivery from requirements refinement and prioritization through governance forums, release readiness, risk escalation, and decision-making for system enhancements and integrations.
• Translate finance strategy into prioritized epics, features, and acceptance criteria; partner with ITS, product engineering, architecture, and testing teams to deliver SAP S/4HANA and related finance capabilities.
• Review global feature sheets; assess U.S. impacts; approve effort and cost estimates; coordinate subject matter advisers and cross-business teams; and lead Program Increment (PI) planning, dependency management, solution-design decisions, and delivery milestones.
• Lead user acceptance testing, production support, defect management, release hyper-care, and change-management activities, including training, communications, quick reference guides, and release notes.

Finance Systems serves as US finance application portfolio subject matter experts, to implement and manage innovative solutions and changes through governance and change management to meet the technology needs of finance and the US member firm. Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology and 8+ years of experience in finance systems, finance processes, accounting systems, or finance technology delivery.
• Experience with Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) S/4HANA and client-to-cash (CTC), core finance, pricing, or forecasting applications.
• Experience leading teams across multiple countries and functions on finance-system delivery projects and presenting recommendations, tradeoffs, and cost estimates to executive stakeholders.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams or workstreams for finance or accounting system implementations and enhancements.
• Experience gathering business requirements, creating acceptance criteria, conducting root cause analysis, and partnering with technical teams to implement finance or accounting system changes.
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing for finance-related system changes, including test planning, test-script preparation, environment readiness, defect triage, and validation of accounting outcomes; and experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and artificial intelligence tools and applications.
• Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

• Agile certification and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Master's degree.
• Experience leading teams, workstreams, or cross-functional initiatives with accountability for delivery outcomes in a professional services organization.
• Experience with finance transformation, process redesign, or automation initiatives in an enterprise organization.
• Experience preparing audit support, compliance documentation, or internal-control documentation for financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP-connected finance interfaces, subledgers, and reporting tools.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,700 to $197,800.
