About the Job:

The Associate Director, Commercial Engine Strategy & Data Intelligence is a senior leader within the Commercial Insights & Enablement organization, responsible for operationalizing, scaling, and continuously improving FMI's commercial operating engine-the integrated workflows, data, and decision intelligence that enable consistent, high‑quality commercial execution.

This role serves as a strategic thought partner to Commercial, Product, and Operations leaders, ensuring that customer experience, field execution, and decision‑making are supported by disciplined processes, trusted data, and actionable insights. The Associate Director leads teams and cross‑functional initiatives that translate commercial strategy into scalable, measurable, and insight‑driven execution, while proactively identifying and resolving friction across workflows, systems, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Engine Strategy & Execution:

  • Translate commercial strategy into standardized, scalable workflows supporting the end‑to‑end commercial lifecycle (targeting, engagement, conversion, retention)

  • Evaluate commercial performance and engine effectiveness using field feedback, customer signals, and performance data

  • Identify workflow and execution friction points and implement durable solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and customer experience

  • Decision Intelligence & Data Enablement:

  • Enable real‑time visibility into performance, pipeline health, risks, and opportunities through integrated data and decision intelligence

  • Partner with analytics and technology teams to embed actionable decision support-including predictive and AI‑enabled insights-directly into commercial workflows

  • Ensure insights are operationalized through tools, dashboards, and frameworks rather than delivered as one‑off analyses

  • Customer Experience & Voice‑of‑Customer Integration:

  • Embed structured voice‑of‑customer (VOC) signals into commercial workflows with minimal friction

  • Partner with Strategic Insights & Analytics colleagues to translate VOC into prioritized initiatives that improve customer experience

  • Ensure customer needs, barriers, and feedback are consistently reflected in commercial prioritization and execution

  • Workflow Integrity, Systems & Governance:

  • Act as an escalation point for workflow, system, and data integrity issues impacting commercial execution

  • Drive root‑cause analysis and implement scalable fixes that improve data quality, forecasting accuracy, and trust in commercial systems (e.g., CRM)

  • Establish and enforce standards for data quality, pipeline discipline, and performance measurement

  • Leadership, Collaboration & Ways of Working:

  • Lead and develop cross‑functional teams (e.g., commercial engine leads, product owners, analysts), setting clear goals and operating cadence

  • Build strong partnerships across Commercial, Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and Technology to ensure alignment from strategy through execution

  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer‑centric problem solving

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or a related discipline
  • 8-10+ years of experience in commercial operations, business operations, insights, enablement, or related roles within diagnostics, biopharma, or healthcare

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience leading teams and complex cross‑functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose workflow and data integrity challenges and drive scalable solutions
  • Strong experience with CRM platforms, commercial workflows, and performance measurement systems
  • Familiarity with voice‑of‑customer programs and customer experience measurement
  • Exposure to analytics, BI tools, and AI‑enabled workflow automation
  • Strong executive‑level communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy
  • Commitment to reflect FMI's values: Integrity, Courage, and Passion
