Associate Data Center Technician - Day Shift

Job Description Basic Qualifications • 2+ years in a Data Center Engineering Role • 2+ years Linux troubleshooting experience. • 2+ years server hardware troubleshooting experience. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with server hardware components and troubleshooting. • A+ plus certification. Suggested Skills: • Communication • Problem-solving • Attention to detail Primary Responsibilities will include: • Troubleshooting and resolution of failed hard drives and failed DIMM's within server nodes. • Installation of new SSD and NVME hard drives into existing servers. • Troubleshooting and resolution of console connectivity issues. • Troubleshooting and resolution of all power supply and RDU (power strip) related issues. • Troubleshooting and resolution of all tier 1 server hardware break fix issues. • Respond to all system problems on a 24X7 basis and take part in on-call rotation Secondary Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: • Assisting Data Center Technicians in OS level troubleshooting and network troubleshooting. • Process (identify, tag, and prepare) all server nodes ready for decommissioning and prepare them for our third party ITAM vendor to pick up. • Ensure client's data center house rules are being followed and immediately report any concerns to leadership. • Ensure client's data center cleanliness, any issues with cleanliness must be reported to leadership
