Goodr seeks an Associate Corporate Counsel to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance across a dynamic, fast-growing consumer brand. Reporting to the In-House Counsel and working closely with the Office of the CEO, this role is central to supporting goodr’s mission of delivering innovative, sustainable eyewear while fostering a culture of autonomy, fun, and authenticity.
The Associate Corporate Counsel will advise teams on a broad range of legal matters, including privacy, regulatory, and employment issues, balancing risk mitigation with operational needs. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, supporting compliance efforts, developing scalable legal operations, and collaborating with external counsel. The role requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business advice.
Ideal candidates will have a Juris Doctorate, at least 4 years of experience in corporate law or counseling companies, and a background supporting consumer products, retail, e-commerce, or CPG businesses. Admission to practice law in California (or eligibility for Registered In-House Counsel status) is required. A passion for building systems, simplifying processes, and enabling business growth is essential.
