ABOUT THE ROLE

This Associate-level opportunity sits within the Corporate Banking team of a well-established financial institution, supporting Relationship Managers in developing and managing corporate client relationships across the Technology, Media, Telecom, and Consumer sectors. The role offers broad exposure across the full banking relationship lifecycle from business development and credit analysis through transaction execution, portfolio monitoring, and ongoing KYC compliance making it an excellent platform for an early-career banking professional looking to build a strong foundation in corporate banking and client coverage. Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Relationship Managers in soliciting and developing business relationships with targeted corporate clients across Technology, Media, Telecom, and Consumer sectors;identify potential business opportunities and support transaction negotiation with banking partners and clients
  • Support initial due diligence and KYC analysis on prospective and existing corporate clients;assist in the preparation of credit ratings, credit line applications, and credit analysis reports
  • Assist in monitoring the full credit application and approval process to ensure adherence to timelines;support closing processes including facility information sheets, closing checklists, funding coordination, and file management
  • Act as a first line of defense risk manager identifying, escalating, and managing risks across products and risk categories in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and controls
  • Perform portfolio monitoring at the transactional level including covenant tracking, loan classification, post-disbursement reviews, and emerging risk assessments;escalate key credit developments proactively
  • Conduct timely and in-depth regular and ad-hoc KYC reviews;maintain accurate and up-to-date client communication logs including call notes
  • Assist in delivering clients'feedback on bank products and services to internal departments and senior management;support cross-selling efforts to improve customer engagement and economic return
  • Assist in preparing branch and department-level reports, summaries, and industry research as requested by Team Leader and senior management
  • Comply with all branch compliance policies, code of conduct, and regulatory reporting requirements;participate in training sessions as required
