Job Summary: Supports product safety and environmental certifications, regulatory and sustainability compliance, supplier documentation, intellectual property and contract administration, while leveraging process improvement and automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Codes & Compliance activities.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Job Requirements:
• Prepare and submit product safety certification packets, ensuring follow-through to completion.
• Update & maintain project related dashboards and Spreadsheets using SmartSheets
• Coordinate & Host 3rd party safety and Environmental Assessments/Audits
• Monitor and update data for KPI’s related to ISO14001 , BIFMA Level, & Cradle to Cradle
• Manage competitive/customer product Library and Database
• Support intellectual property administration including internal quarterly reviews and outside counsel coordination.
• Organize MSDS/SDS most updated copies
• Advise facilities/production regarding onsite chemical handling
• Maintain accurate department budget tracking & reporting
• Support AI initiatives, workflow automation, and continuous improvement.
• Track and respond to customer requests for sustainability information
• Support sustainability initiatives to meet company goals including ISO1400, BIFMA Level, Cradle to Cradle, LEED, PFAS, TSCA, REACH, RoHS, Proposition 65, and customer ESG requests.
• Engage directly with suppliers to request, obtain, and maintain required compliance documentation and material declarations, including follow-up to ensure timely and complete responses.
• Track the status of contracts and agreements throughout the review, approval, and signature process, proactively following up with internal and external stakeholders to support timely completion.
• Any other duties as required.
Skills & Experience :
• Strong organizational and data management skills, with proficiency in Excel or Smartsheet’s preferred.
• Effective cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to research, interpret, and apply information from legal documents, safety standards, or regulatory guidelines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience or familiarity with environmental, safety, and/or quality compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, ETL, IEC, BIFMA, ISO9001, ISO14001) is a plus but not required.
Education Requirements:
• Associate’s degree or relevant coursework in technical, legal, environmental, or compliance-related fields is beneficial but not required.
• Equivalent work experience, certifications, or a demonstrated ability to perform key responsibilities will also be considered.
