Under the direction of the Clinical Director, Adult Medicine, the Associate Clinical Director, Adult Medicine is charged with supporting the agenda for clinical practice development, professional training, quality improvement programming and reporting as well as business administrative leadership duties which include close collaboration with the Clinical Director, Adult Medicine the Clinical Director's respective Directors of Operations, Lead Clinicians and Health Center Managers to ensure the provision of effective quality medical service to the patients of the Health Center. The Associate Clinical Director is responsible for assuring clinical procedures are continually and systematically followed in practice to assure optimal performance in achieving patient safety as recipient of clinical care, adherence to accepted standards of care, vigilance over risk management practices, satisfactory clinical outcomes and continuous quality improvement within their respective practices, in the areas of patient experience, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of care, and operational efficiencies to optimize patient flow and customer service.

Your Role & Impact

• Your time will be split: 0.6 FTE Clinical 0.4 FTE Administrative. Providing comprehensive clinical, quality, and risk leadership. Developing clinical teams through recruitment, training, and coaching,
• Collaborate with Operations and leadership to ensure clinical coverage, assisting the Clinical Director , CMO and executive team with communications and strategic planning, participating in Medical Executive and Credentialing Committees.
• Champion Patient Care- Provide Primary Care coverage to patients in need within our FQHC network. Join a Saturday Clinic Rotation (replaces one weekday clinic).
• Enhance Clinical Operations- Streamline processes to improve patient flow, satisfaction, and provider efficiency.
• When in clinic see 20 patients per day in 20 min scheduling blocks | 2:1 MA to Provider Ratio, 3 Exam Rooms to Rotate between.

What We're Looking For

• Active or Pending California Medical License.
• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. (ABFM or ABIM)
• 3-5 yrs experience in a leadership role within a healthcare organization. Leadership experience providing medical care to underserved populations, especially at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health center that provides medical services to similar populations is preferred.
• 5 yrs of practice experience post-residency in Primary Care
• Commitment to Patient-Centered Care & Health Equity.
• Bilingual in Spanish & English (Preferred but not required).
