Job Summary
- Support the purchasing functions by placing purchase orders from requisitions, maintaining data integrity in the business system, communicating delivery information and organizing files for all purchasing documents.
- Place purchase orders for MRO items and low dollar items as directed by buyer
- Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of products to support manufacturing
- Perform materials quotation for prices and delivery
- Review material price variances and provide feedback for resolution
- Perform data entry and maintain purchasing data in computer system.
- Update lead times, minimums and multiples, and vendor information for all parts in the system
- Maintain files on all purchase orders, purchase order agreements, supplier surveys, and add new supplier forms
- Follow up on unquoted components during the quote phase
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Perform other assignments as required
