ABOUT THE ROLE

This Associate or AVP-level opportunity sits within the Credit Risk Management Department of a well-established global financial institution, offering independent credit risk evaluation and portfolio management responsibilities across a diversified C&I corporate lending portfolio. The role combines rigorous credit analysis reviewing and recommending on Front Office credit proposals across all aspects of loan structure, financial performance, and risk assessment with active portfolio monitoring, policy maintenance, and industry research. It's an ideal fit for a credit-trained professional with 3 5+ years of C&I corporate credit risk and underwriting experience who combines strong financial modeling skills with clear, well-supported credit judgment and a genuine interest in developing deep industry expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and analyze credit requests submitted by Front Office across all aspects including limit structure, historical financial performance, base case and stress case financial projections, management quality, industry dynamics, market and economic conditions, and third-party reports
  • Provide and document credit risk recommendations on Front Office proposals;articulate credit risk views on the bankability of requests and their conformity with Bank policies and procedures
  • Provide comments and recommendations on key terms and conditions, approval conditions, policy exceptions, internal risk ratings, and post-lending monitoring requirements
  • Assist account officers with loan structuring, loan exposure management, and on-site due diligence as needed
  • Conduct annual and quarterly reviews of existing credits as required by Bank policy;monitor industry trends and assess the impact of client-specific or macro negative developments from a portfolio perspective
  • Conduct exception and pipeline management across the assigned portfolio
  • Develop relevant industry knowledge for the assigned portfolio and expertise in banking products and regulatory requirements;demonstrate initiative to acquire necessary knowledge to perform job functions effectively
  • Contribute to updates of Credit Risk Policies and Procedures to reflect changes in internal and regulatory guidelines;prepare portfolio reporting for management as needed
