Job Details
Civil Litigation Defense Attorney – Rideshare / UM-UIM
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid Remote)
Compensation: $150,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Job Description
We are seeking a California-licensed Civil Litigation Defense Attorney with approximately 4–5 years of experience, specifically in rideshare and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) defense litigation, to join our San Francisco team.
Reporting directly to a partner, you will have the opportunity to take primary responsibility for your own caseload, depending on your experience and capabilities. This is a hands-on litigation role for an attorney who is comfortable managing cases independently while working within a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage and litigate an assigned caseload of civil defense matters.
Handle court appearances and case-related proceedings.
Draft and argue motions and manage all aspects of written discovery.
Take and defend depositions.
Prepare for and participate in mediations and arbitrations.
Manage pretrial preparation and litigation strategy.
Communicate with clients and provide regular case updates.
Prepare for and participate in trials as opportunities arise.
Collaborate with partners and colleagues while contributing to the continued development of the practice.
Qualifications:
Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
Approximately 3+ years of civil litigation defense experience.
Direct experience handling rideshare and UM/UIM defense matters strongly preferred.
Experience drafting and arguing motions and taking and defending depositions.
Ability to independently manage cases and meet litigation deadlines.
Strong written, verbal, analytical, and advocacy skills.
A collaborative mindset and interest in continued professional growth.
