Now Hiring: Remote Associate Attorney | Maine Bar Required | No Billables | No Sales

New Gig Solutions is proud to partner with a long-standing, mission-driven law firm that has been helping individuals facing financial hardship since 2011. With operations in multiple states and continued growth, the firm is seeking a Remote Associate Attorney licensed in Maine.

Position: Associate Attorney
Location: Fully Remote (Anywhere in Maine)
Compensation: $80,000–$95,000 + Full Benefits
Bar Admission: Active Maine Bar license required (must be in good standing)
Experience: All experience levels will be considered

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to focus on meaningful legal work without the pressure of billable hours, business development, or partnership expectations. You'll manage your own caseload while working remotely with the support of an experienced legal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client matters from intake through resolution.
  • Negotiate with creditors and opposing counsel.
  • Handle legal matters involving consumer issues, debt collection, financial hardship, and tenant rights.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence.
  • Utilize the firm's Salesforce-based case management system.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve positive client outcomes.

What You Won't Do

  • No billable hour requirements.
  • No marketing or business development.
  • No client origination expectations.
  • No weekend or late-night work—standard Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM schedule.

Ideal Candidate

  • Active Maine Bar license in good standing (required).
  • Open to attorneys at all experience levels.
  • Strong communication, organization, and client advocacy skills.
  • Passion for helping individuals through challenging situations.
  • Able to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with a remote team.
  • Committed to a full-time position (not maintaining a competing legal practice during business hours).
