Responsibilities:


  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, depositions, cross-examinations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Prepare and file legal documents; review medical/legal records to build strong cases.
  • Communicate directly with clients, insurers, and medical providers to advocate for client outcomes.
  • Oversee case management tasks performed by case managers and legal assistants.
  • Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain compliance with firm policy, ethical standards, and CA WC regulations.
Required:


  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active member, California State Bar, in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience in California workers' compensation law.
  • Proficiency with MerusCase or similar case management software; comfort with Apple/Mac environments.
Preferred:


  • Bilingual English/Spanish
Compensation: $150,000 to $250,000 base DOE, PLUS settlement incentive bonus.
