Pay: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year

Note: Candidates must have an active New York bar license and at least 5+ years of civil litigation experience. General liability defense experience is strongly preferred, and trial experience is a major plus.

Job Description
- Manage a diverse caseload of general liability defense matters from inception through resolution.
- Handle personal injury, motor vehicle, property damage, construction and labor law, and product liability cases.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, reports, and legal memoranda.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
- Appear in court, participate in conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Communicate regularly with clients, courts, opposing counsel, witnesses, and co-counsel.
- Provide timely case updates, strategy recommendations, and litigation assessments.
- Work closely with partners, associates, and legal staff in a collaborative team environment.
- Manage files efficiently while meeting billing, budget, and client service expectations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience required.
- 3+ years of general liability defense experience strongly preferred.
- Active New York bar license in good standing required.
- Experience with depositions, discovery, court appearances, and motion practice.
- Trial experience is a strong plus.
- Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently and collaboratively.
- J.D. from an accredited law school required.
