Associate Attorney

We are looking for a senior associate who wants to perform high-level work, real responsibility early, and a practice that serves the public. The ideal candidate is a California-licensed litigator with no less than 4 years of experience, ideally trained as a prosecutor, a criminal defense attorney, or at a large firm. They must write with precision, think strategically, and are ready to run matters to make a difference. Our ideal candidate is drawn to the law because they believe litigation can improve communities, and they want real courtroom time rather than a narrow, document-heavy role. The role requires work in the arena of civil prosecution, class actions, and plaintiff-side work.

$160,000 - $215,000 yearly

• Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
• Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws
• Supervise and mentor lower level attorneys in proper conflict resolution techniques
• Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration hearings
• Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses

• At least 5 years of experience working as a senior associate attorney
• Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
