About the role

A well-regarded Connecticut law firm is seeking a litigation associate for its Rocky Hill office. You will handle all phases of defense litigation, from discovery and motion practice through trial prep, working directly with partners and clients on a varied docket.

 

What you'll do

- Manage discovery, motions, and trial preparation across multiple matters

- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda

- Conduct legal research and analysis

- Appear at court conferences, depositions, and hearings

- Follow client guidelines and keep accurate time and billing records

 

What we're looking for

- 1–3 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting

- Active Connecticut bar admission (required)

- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines

 

Nice to have

- Admission in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania

- Experience in insurance defense, professional liability, product liability, or appellate work

- Federal court experience
