    Overview

    Elsstaffing.com is recruiting an Associate Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense, where your expertise will play a vital role in representing clients against insurance claims and disputes. The ideal candidate will have experience investigating/defending first- and third-party claims, taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and attending court hearings in state and federal courts. Experience drafting coverage opinions and conducting examinations under oath is a strong plus. . Your proactive approach and dedication will help us uphold the highest standards of legal advocacy and client satisfaction.

    Duties

    • Manage a broad spectrum of insurance defense cases, including personal injury, property damage, and contractual disputes.
    • Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements.
    • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
    • Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case theories, and participating in court depositions.
    • Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining strong client communication throughout the litigation process.
    • Assist in trial preparation by coordinating witness testimony, preparing exhibits, and supporting courtroom proceedings.
    • Stay current on relevant laws including employment law, workers' compensation law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, environmental law, and statutory legal research to provide comprehensive legal counsel.

    Requirements

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.
    • Experience: 3+ years of solid experience in law firms of litigation, preferably with an emphasis on insurance-related litigation such as coverage disputes, personal injury cases, premises liability lawsuits, and bad faith claims.
    • Licensure & Certification: Possession of a license to practice law in Colorado.
    • Strong research skills for statutory and procedural legal research.
    • Demonstrated ability to draft clear legal documents and motions with excellent writing skills.
    • Experience conducting court depositions and trial preparation is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of procedural law and familiarity with legal case management systems.
    • Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with effective client communication abilities.
    • Prior law office experience involving legal advocacy, legal research, motion preparation, and case management is preferred.
